Larry Short

Larry Short has extensive experience in engineering and project management. From December 2015 to December 2019, they worked as a Refrigeration Operating Engineer at MB Real Estate, where they operated chilling, boiler, and cooling tower systems and analyzed equipment performance. Since December 2019, they have been working at Collins Building Services, Inc. as a Project Manager Engineering, overseeing operations and maintenance for a large NYU student dormitory facility. Larry is responsible for supervising a team of engineers and handymen, scheduling special projects, and conducting preventive maintenance on various mechanical equipment. In March 2023, they were promoted to Assistant Director of Engineering at Collins Building Services, Inc.

Larry Short attended DeVry University from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Science. Larry later enrolled at the Local 94 Training Center from 2015 to 2018, specializing in Engineering. In addition to their educational background, Larry Short also holds several certifications in various fields including air pollution, sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, compressor operation and maintenance, fire and life safety direction, oil burner operation, refrigeration operation, fuel-oil transfer supervision, fire alarm system supervision, and system maintenance technician. The institutions from which they obtained these certifications are DEP, New York City Fire Department, Pennsylvania College of Technology, and BOMI International.
