Fernando J. Valle is a partner in the litigation practice group at Colodny Fass, where he focuses on complex matters including contract and insurance disputes, real property disputes, business disputes, and construction litigation. Prior to joining Colodny Fass, Mr. Valle was an attorney at a boutique litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale, where he represented individual, commercial, and institutional clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including subsequent appeals.
Mr. Valle began his career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade County Office of the State Attorney. As an Assistant State Attorney, he gained valuable courtroom and trial experience, handling hundreds of cases at every stage of litigation, including pre-trial motion practice, trial, and appeal. Fernando has tried dozens of cases, both with and without a jury, and has appeared before the Third District Court of Appeal. While in law school, Fernando interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office.
Fernando was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, but grew up in South Florida. He attended public schools in Miami-Dade and was awarded a merit-based scholarship to attend the University of Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminology.
Fernando obtained his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2015. During law school, Fernando was recognized for his performance in the Litigation Skills program and was selected as a Litigation Fellow for the program. In this capacity, Fernando worked with the program director and other fellows to develop the program’s litigation skills curriculum. In addition, Fernando served as Symposium and Online Content Editor for the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review, during which time he coordinated and presented a symposium on the Food Safety Modernization Act. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Law Activity Fee Allocation Committee, which provides funding to the various student organizations.
