Alejandra Mendoza

Alejandra Mendoza is an experienced consultant in emergency and disaster management, currently serving as a Consultor Emergencias y Desastres at the Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social de Colombia since February 2021. Previous roles include Consultor Nacional at OPS/OMS from April 2016 to December 2020, and various technical consulting positions at PNUD Colombia and FAO between 2015 and 2018. Mendoza has also held specialized professional roles at UNGRD from 2012 to 2015 and has a notable background in coordinating technical areas with Cruz Roja Colombiana from 2003 to 2010. In academia, Mendoza worked as a Docente catedrático at Universidad de Los Llanos from 2001 to 2007. Mendoza holds a Master's degree in Gestión de Riesgos from Universidad del Rey Juan Carlos, as well as a specialization in Gerencia del Medio Ambiente y Prevención de Desastres from Universidad Sergio Arboleda.
