Peter Inker

Peter Inker has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Peter began their career in 1988 as an Architectural & Museum Model Maker at Aztech Design Partnership. Peter then worked as a Graphic Designer at Coinmaster and Bowater Containers from 1990 to 1993. In 1995, they worked as an Archaeologist/Planner at the National Museum of Wales. From 1997 to 1997, they were an Archaeologist/Planning Supervisor at the Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project. Peter also served as an Adjunct Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Wales from 1997 to 2003. From 2004 to 2007, they were an Archaeological Project Supervisor at the University of Nottingham. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Staff Archaeologist at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Peter then held various roles at the foundation, including Manager of 3D Visualization from 2010 to 2015, Director of Digital History Center from 2015 to 2016, Theresa A. and Lawrence C. Salameno Executive Director of Experience Design from 2016 to 2018, and Director of Historical Research from 2018 to present. In 2019, they became a Board Member at the Rumsiskes Market-Town Museum and EXARC, where they later served as Vice Chair of the Board from 2021 to 2022 and Chair of the Board from 2022 to present.

Peter Inker obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 1996. Peter then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Archaeology from the same university, completing it in 1997. Peter Inker continued their education at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, earning a PhD in Archaeology, which they completed in 2003.
