Maria Wiwel

Maria Wiwel serves as a Senior Biosafety Specialist at Coloplast since April 2021, following a role as a Toxicologist at DHI from September 2020 to April 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Toxicologist at SAXOCON, overseeing toxicological evaluations of medical devices in compliance with the MDR and ISO 10993-series. Maria also held positions as a Kemiker at Arbejdstilsynet and a Regulatory Toxicologist at the Danish Ministry of the Environment. Earlier roles involved project management and safety documentation at 3E Company Europe and Haldor Topsøe, alongside a research assistantship at the University of Copenhagen focused on molecular biology techniques. Maria holds a Master of Science in biology from Københavns Universitet, supplemented by coursework at Karolinska Institutet.
