Colorado Ballet
Bernadette Torres is an accomplished dance educator and arts administrator with extensive experience in ballet and Pilates. Currently serving as the Academy Principal at Colorado Ballet since July 2023, Torres previously founded and directed the Torres Di Dio Ballet Program from September 2020 to June 2023. Torres has a strong background in management, marketing, and curriculum development, with responsibilities including strategic planning, budgeting, instructor training, and performance production. Additional roles have included Rehearsal Director at Ballet Counterpointe and Consultant for BASI Systems, showcasing expertise in both performance and administrative functions. Torres holds a BS in Business Administration from San Diego State University and an Associate of Arts degree with honors in Accounting from Southwestern Community College District.
Colorado Ballet
Colorado Ballet enhances the cultural life of Colorado through performances of the professional company, training at the Academy, and Education & Community Advancement programs. The 2016-2017 season includes Swan Lake; The Nutcracker; Ballet MasterWorks with Firebird, Serenade and Petite Mort; and The Little Mermaid.
