Sameed Afghani

Sameed Afghani currently serves as the Executive Director of Colorado Ballet since February 2023. Prior to this role, Sameed held positions as Vice President & General Manager and General Manager at Atlanta Symphony Orchestra from February 2018 to February 2023. Between July 2013 and February 2018, Sameed was the Manager of Audio Media and Operations at Chicago Symphony Orchestra, where responsibilities included managing production schedules and operations for CSO Resound. Sameed's experience also includes serving as Executive Director of Ocala Symphony Orchestra, where efforts were made to enhance grant writing and educational outreach initiatives. Earlier roles include Assistant Director for Volleyball and Basketball Bands at University of Florida, and a position as Financial Research Analyst. Sameed holds a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting and dual Bachelor's degrees in Music Performance and Finance, all from University of Florida.
