Mary Austin

Mary Austin has extensive experience in the cleantech and sustainability sectors, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Colorado Cleantech Industries Association since July 2024. Prior to this role, Mary held the position of Chief Resource Development Officer at the NREL Foundation, where efforts focused on supporting the clean energy mission of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. With a long tenure at the Colorado Cleantech Industries Association from 2012 to 2023, Mary has held multiple leadership roles including Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Partnerships Director. Earlier in the career, positions included Business Development at CORE, Events Director/Account Executive at the Boulder County Business Report, and Membership and Events Director at the Boulder Chamber of Commerce. Mary also served as Board President for the Colorado Chautauqua Association. Educational background includes studies at the University of Colorado Boulder and various Colorado institutions.
