Behavioral Health Provider at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless

Sophie Briend, LCSW, is a dedicated behavioral health provider with extensive experience in social work, particularly in crisis management and support for vulnerable populations. Currently at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless since June 2018, Sophie specializes in providing resources and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Previous roles include serving as a social worker at InnovAge Careers and as the Women's Emergency Services Coordinator at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver, where Sophie coordinated emergent resources for women in crisis. Sophie's background includes conducting psychosocial assessments and providing outpatient psychotherapy during an internship at SCL Health, as well as facilitating support groups for stroke survivors and utilizing a strength-based approach in client interactions.
