Dawna L. Taylor

Dawna L. Taylor currently serves as the Chief of Staff and Vice President of School Services at the Colorado League of Charter Schools, a position held since June 2023. Previously, Dawna held several leadership roles, including Chief of Schools and Assistant Superintendent at San Jose Support from January 2022 to June 2023, and State Director of Engagement Services at AdvancED from July 2019 to January 2022. Dawna also worked with Cognia as a Regional Director during the same period. From November 2015 to July 2019, Dawna was the Assistant Vice President of K12 Programs at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, where responsibilities included overseeing various educational programs and managing an out-of-school STEM initiative. Dawna's earlier experience includes positions as Director of Blended Learning Centers at Commonwealth Connections Academy and Assistant Director of Blended Learning Programs at Connections Learning. Dawna has a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership Administration & Supervision from Jones International University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University.
