Rebecca Nelson

Rebecca Nelson has extensive experience in the genetic counseling field, currently serving as the Inherited Retinal Disease Service Coordinator at Colorado Retina Associates since February 2021. Prior to this role, Rebecca held positions at Parkview Health as Lead Genetic Counselor and Certified Genetic Counselor from June 2014 to January 2021. Rebecca completed a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at Case Western Reserve University from 2012 to 2014, following a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from Bucknell University, where studies spanned from 2008 to 2012. Additional early career experience includes working as a Resident Assistant at Bucknell University and serving as a Research Intern at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains.
