Alex Wood

Alex Wood is an accomplished information security professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Uplight since March 2022, Alex also co-founded Colorado = Security and co-hosts a podcast that highlights news and events in the information security sector. As Principal Consultant and Owner of Elevation Security Consulting, LLC, services focus on IT Security and Risk Management. A notable past role includes Conference Chair for the Rocky Mountain Information Security Conference, where Alex was instrumental in growing attendance from several hundred to over 1,500 participants. Additional experience encompasses directorships in major corporations, advisory positions in professional organizations, and substantial contributions to the ISSA Denver Chapter. Alex holds a BA in General Science/Chemistry from Grinnell College and an MCIS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Denver.
