Carol Wilusz

Carol Wilusz is a distinguished researcher and educator in the field of molecular genetics with extensive experience in higher education and research. Currently serving as a Fulbright Scholar at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences since January 2025, Carol Wilusz collaborates with researchers, teaches RNA biology, and promotes rigor and reproducibility in science. At Colorado State University since 2003, Carol Wilusz has held various roles, including Director of the Cell & Molecular Biology Graduate Program, where responsibilities include mentoring students, curriculum development, and fostering an inclusive environment. Research focuses on mRNA metabolism, particularly in relation to stem cells and muscular dystrophy. Carol Wilusz's academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Imperial College London, preceded by a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry.
