Marilyn Butcher

Marilyn Butcher currently serves as the Managing Director of Development for Student Experience and Scholarships at Colorado State University, a position held since June 2010. Marilyn has progressed through various roles within the university, including Director of Development for Enrollment, Academic, and Student Affairs, Interim Managing Director of Development, Associate Director of Development, Assistant Director of Development, and Development Coordinator. Notably, Marilyn was the first departmental alumni relations coordinator in the College of Liberal Arts, developing sustainable strategies to connect with alumni from Music, Theatre, and Dance. Prior experience includes an internship in Alumni Relations and Stewardship at the University of South Florida, where content was created for health publications, and freelance writing for Berry Publications and The Tampa Tribune. Marilyn holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Philanthropic Leadership from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of South Florida.
