Susan C. Faircloth is a distinguished academic currently serving as a Professor and Director of the School of Education at Colorado State University since July 2018. Previously, Faircloth held the position of Professor in the Educational Leadership Department at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington from July 2015 to June 2018 and served as an Associate Professor at North Carolina State University from 2012 to June 2015, where responsibilities included coordinating the Educational Leadership Program and directing the Collaborative on Indigenous Education, Research, and Service. Faircloth's earlier academic experience includes a role as an Associate Professor at Penn State University, as well as serving as Director of Research and Policy Analysis at the American Indian Higher Education Consortium. Faircloth holds a PhD in Educational Administration with concentrations in Indian Education and Special Education from Penn State University, along with a Master of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Appalachian State University.
