Brightin Rose Schlumpf

Substitute Section Viola at Colorado Symphony

Brightin Rose Schlumpf is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in string performance and teaching. Currently serving as a Substitute Section Viola for Central City Opera and the Colorado Symphony, Brightin has also held positions with Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra and Boulder Chamber Orchestra since 2011. As the proprietor of Brightin's Music Studio since 2003, Brightin specializes in teaching private violin and viola lessons using traditional and Suzuki methods. Additional experience includes roles as Violin Teacher and Student Support Lead at Trala, Inc., and faculty member at Lamont Summer Music Academy. Brightin's educational background includes a B.A. cum laude in Music from Cornell University, along with multiple master's degrees in Viola and Violin Performance from institutions such as Longy School of Music and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
