Catherine Beeson

Catherine Beeson is an experienced music educator and arts administrator currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at University College at the University of Denver since March 2023 and as a Course Facilitator at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at DU since September 2012. As President and Artistic Director of Loon Lake Live since 1996, Catherine manages the planning and execution of annual music festivals. In the role of Program Director for Ensemble Fauchuex since 2017, Catherine oversees music events focused on direct marketing through community initiatives. Additionally, Catherine holds the position of Assistant Principal Viola and Director of Community Education Programs at Colorado Symphony since September 1999, where responsibilities include setting goals for community programming and project management. As Executive Director of Longmont Symphony Orchestra from January 2021 to July 2022, Catherine was instrumental in fundraising, marketing, and implementing DEI-focused community programming. Catherine holds a Master of Music in Orchestral Performance from Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from The University of Texas at Austin.
