Kathy Shanks

Kathy Shanks is a seasoned professional in quality management and assurance with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as Senior Global Manager at Colorcon® since October 2019, Kathy has held various leadership roles, including Senior Quality Manager and Quality Manager, focusing on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and global quality oversight. Previous experience includes positions at Scientific Protein Laboratories as Document Control Supervisor and Senior QA Compliance Specialist, as well as a role in quality assurance at Epic Systems Corporation. Kathy has also managed IT projects as Manager of Laboratory Informatics at PPD and worked as a forensic scientist at the Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Laboratory and Arkansas State Crime Laboratory. Kathy holds a Master of Science in Chemistry and Instrumentation Sciences from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Missouri State University.
