Cyndi Fecher

Cyndi Fecher Layman is an experienced professional in editorial and creative direction, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at ColorWord Creative, Inc. Since July 2024, Cyndi acted as a Consulting Editor for Slow Food USA, contributing to the Local School Wellness Policy Toolkit. With a robust background at Built In from October 2019 to October 2023, Cyndi held positions as Senior Director and Managing Director of Brand Studio, focusing on content and event management for the tech industry. Prior to that, Cyndi served as Creative Director and Editorial Director at Guerrero, overseeing multiple custom media brands and managing editorial teams. Experience also includes founding Graze Magazine, volunteering with Slow Food Chicago, and a role as Managing Editor for Gather 'Round. Cyndi's earlier career featured teaching ESL in South Korea and coordinating publications at Brethren Benefit Trust. Cyndi holds a B.A. in English from Calvin University.
