Daren Card

Daren Card, PhD, serves as a Senior Computational Biologist at Colossal Biosciences, focusing on vertebrate bioengineering since August 2025. Prior to this role, Daren worked as a Computational Biologist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, emphasizing epigenomics and chromatin remodeling from October 2023 to August 2025, and also held a similar position at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute during that same period. Daren's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University from September 2018 to August 2023, concentrating on the evolutionary genomics of limb loss in reptiles, utilizing advanced techniques such as Hi-C, ATAC-seq, and RNA-seq. Earlier teaching experience at the University of Texas at Arlington involved instructing over 700 students in zoology and mentoring undergraduate teaching assistants.
