Colts Youth Organization
Elizabeth Von Allmen is a new face to the Colts Youth Organization, but her love for the drum & bugle corps spans four decades. Elizabeth grew up in Port Huron, Michigan, where she & her family would attend the local annual drum corps show ‘Blue Water Brass.’ In the Fall of 1992, she attended her first camp and was hooked. She spent the 1993 & 1994 seasons playing soprano for Northern Aurora Drum & Bugle Corps, based out of Saginaw, Michigan. In 1995, she headed south to join the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps in Toledo, Ohio. She played soprano for the 1995 & 1996 Glassmen. Then in 1997, Elizabeth switched to mellophone for her final age-out year as a Glassmen.
After aging out of drum corps, Elizabeth graduated from Western Michigan University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. She started her career as an accountant for a steel service center, and then found her niche in the healthcare sector as a financial analyst. As a lifelong Michigan Football fan, Elizabeth was thrilled to work at the University of Michigan for many years as a financial analyst for their hospital & health care centers. Her time at U of M was the most fulling of her professional career.
