Steve LaHood

Steve LaHood is a native of Omaha and had his first taste of the Drum Corps activity through the Railmen Drum Corps (along with 6 of his 9 siblings) and went on to march snare with the Colts from 1984-86 and continuing on percussion staff with both Colts and Glassmen into the 1990’s. He credits many of his close friendships to the Colts and its culture of connecting people, passion, music and most importantly fun.

Married with 3 children, Steve currently serves as VP and Director of Marketing and Product Design for HDR, a global Architecture and Engineering firm headquartered in Omaha. He travels across the US and internationally building and growing teams of strategists, designers and communications specialists. In his spare time he and his wife Carol serve on organizations focusing on fundraising and outreach promoting Catholic education for disadvantaged youth in Omaha. Steve also serves as a design and leadership mentor within HDR and other organizations.

Steve has a passion for all things design (architecture, graphic and furniture) and recently completed a personal project, transforming an abandoned 520 sq. ft. former natural gas utility building in a historic district into an Airbnb property.
