Dmitry Shub

Dmitry Shub is an experienced IT professional and educator with a robust background in information security and infrastructure management. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Evanston since December 2013, Shub has pioneered the city's cybersecurity program through the application of NIST and CIS frameworks. Prior roles include IT Operations Manager at Columbia College Chicago and IT Manager at WBEZ, where Shub supervised IT teams and managed enterprise network environments. As an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College Chicago and formerly at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Shub instructs courses in audio and interactive media. Additional experience encompasses roles as an audio engineer and technical director for various media projects, highlighting a diverse skill set in both technology and creative fields. Educational qualifications include certifications in Unix/Linux System Administration and Project Management, along with a BA in Audio Recording Arts.
