Emma Bute

Emma Bute is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Coordinator for Columbia Heights Public Schools since August 2021. Prior to this role, Emma worked in various customer service positions, including as a waitress and bartender at New Ulm Country Club, and as a bartender at Gray’s Dinkytown. Emma has also provided academic support as Summer School Support Staff at New Ulm High School, assisting struggling students and tracking their progress. Emma's professional background includes leadership and organizational roles, such as serving as a CLA First Year Experience Section Leader at the University of Minnesota and participating in student organizations like the Undergraduate Public Health Association and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a focus on Strategic Communication and English, along with a minor in Public Health, from the University of Minnesota, and gained international experience through a study abroad program at the University of East Anglia.
