Jonathan Peters is an accomplished academic and journalist currently serving as the Chair of the Department of Journalism and Associate Professor of Journalism/Law at The University of Georgia since 2017. In addition, Jonathan holds the position of Press Freedom Correspondent for the Columbia Journalism Review since 2014. Prior to these roles, Jonathan was an Assistant Professor of Journalism at The University of Kansas from 2014 to 2017. Jonathan's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a J.D. from The Ohio State University, and a B.S. in Journalism from Ohio University.
