Emily Matson

Land Steward at Columbia Land Trust

Emily Matson is an experienced land stewardship professional with a strong background in environmental conservation and watershed management. Currently serving as a Land Steward at Columbia Land Trust since June 2014, Emily previously worked as a Water Resources Specialist at Clean Water Services and as a Watershed Technician with the Tualatin River Watershed Council, where important assessments and outreach efforts were conducted. Earlier experience includes roles as a Watershed Planning Intern with Johnson Creek Watershed Council and a Restoration Crew Member at BioLogic Environmental Consulting. Emily's educational qualifications include a River Restoration Certificate from Portland State University and a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology & Sustainable Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by a BA in Anthropology (Archaeology) from Western Washington University. Notable skills include habitat restoration, watershed planning, and project management.
