James Heilman, MD, MBA, currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Columbia Memorial Hospital since May 2025. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Oregon Health & Science University from 2013 to May 2025, where roles encompassed Vice President for Strategic Outreach, Emergency Physician, and Associate Director of Strategic Outreach, among others. James also contributed as Chief Medical Transfer Officer and held key administrative positions within the Department of Emergency Medicine. Prior to these roles, James completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of New Mexico from 2010 to 2013. James holds a Master of Business Administration from Oregon Health & Science University (2013-2017), a Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine (2005-2010), and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oregon (1999-2004).
