Dorothy W. Hopkins

Dorothy W. Hopkins has over two decades of experience in apparel design and management, currently serving as Principal Apparel Design Lead for Men's and Women's Hike Enthusiast Outerwear at Columbia Sportswear Company since March 2004. With a focus on women's outerwear, Dorothy has effectively led design teams, fostering strong relationships with business partners to enhance revenue through innovative and targeted design offerings. Previous roles at Columbia include Senior Apparel Designer for the APAC region and Senior Creative Apparel Designer for Outdoor Lifestyle, where Dorothy successfully revitalized women's sportswear sales and brand identity. Prior to Columbia, Dorothy held positions at Buffalo Exchange and Sporthill Performance Clothing Company, gaining valuable experience in apparel buying and product development. Dorothy holds a Bachelor of Science in Apparel & Textile Design from Michigan State University and has furthered professional development through the Camber Outdoors Professional Mentee Program.
