Chris Horn, P.E. has extensive work experience in engineering and facilities management. Chris has worked at Columbia Steel Casting Co Inc since 1998, starting as a Plant Engineer and progressing to roles such as Plant Engineering Manager and Facilities Director. In these positions, they supervised engineering staff, managed utility usage and implemented cost-saving measures. Chris also oversaw infrastructure and maintenance departments, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility. Additionally, Chris worked at W.E.S.T. Ltd. as a Mechanical Engineer, where they assisted in the relocation of a plastics assembly plant and sourced vendors. Chris also had an internship at James River/Fort James, supporting production in a large pulp and paper operation. During this time, they conducted hydraulic upgrades and material handling upgrades, among other tasks. Overall, Chris has a diverse background in engineering and facilities management.
Chris Horn, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. Chris attended the university from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their degree, Chris Horn also obtained several certifications including DOT Hazmat Training and RCRA & SQG/LQG Refresher, both obtained in May 2013. Chris also holds a Professional Engineer certification, obtained in July 2002 from the State of Oregon Board of Engineering & Land Surveying.
