Selma Nouri

Selma Nouri is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in legal and humanitarian fields. Currently serving on the Junior Executive Board of the Events Committee for Pi Sigma Alpha, The National Political Science Honor Society, Selma is also a Legal Intern at Felsberg Advogados, focusing on international research. Selma contributes as a writer for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review and has founded and presides over the Refugee International Support Effort (RISE), a nonprofit addressing mental health issues among refugees through educational initiatives. Previous roles include research positions at the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan and the University of Maryland, as well as an internship for a Democratic candidate for Virginia State Senate. Selma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics-Political Science from Columbia University and has a background in the International Baccalaureate program from Thomas A. Edison High School.
