Laurel Daniels Abbruzzese, PT, EdD, FNAP, serves as the Associate Professor of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Programs in Physical Therapy since April 2021, and has been the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as well as the Director of the Performing Arts Fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center since July 2007. With a clinical background as a Physical Therapist and Assistant Supervisor at New York Presbyterian Hospital from July 1995 to July 2000, Laurel holds multiple degrees from Columbia University, including an EdD, EdM, MSPT, and a BA in Biobehavioral Science, Physical Therapy, and Psychology. Education also includes attendance at St. Paul's School.
