Rebecca Cooper

Rebecca Cooper is currently a Clinical Research Coordinator at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, a position held since September 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where the focus was on using brain imaging and behavioral measures to investigate social functioning in neuropsychiatric disorders. Additionally, Rebecca worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Cellular and Molecular Biology Lab at Barnard College and as a Campus Ambassador for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Earlier research experience at Columbia University Irving Medical Center involved studying a neural pathway linked to social isolation-induced anxiety in female mice. Rebecca earned a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Barnard College, completing studies in 2024, after graduating from Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School in 2019.
