Aryeh Alex

Aryeh Alex is an experienced sustainability and political professional currently serving as the Sustainability Manager and Keep Columbus Beautiful Executive Director for the City of Columbus since September 2021. In this role, Aryeh leads the city's residential recycling, waste reduction, and community engagement initiatives while coordinating efforts for the Climate Action Plan. Additionally, Aryeh holds the position of Commissioner for Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks since January 2022 and previously served as a Township Trustee in Franklin Township, Ohio. Aryeh's extensive background includes roles such as Executive Director of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus, Vice-President of Public Affairs at the Ohio Environmental Council, and Regional Campaigns Director at SEIU, among others. Aryeh's educational credentials include studies at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, the School for Creative and Performing Arts, and a certificate from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University focused on Key Fundamentals of Management.
