Kevin Collins

Strength & Conditioning Coach at Columbus Blue Jackets

Kevin Collins was named strength and conditioning coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets on June 29, 2010.

Collins joined the Blue Jackets after spending the previous five seasons with the Buffalo Sabres organization as strength and conditioning/video coach. He spent two seasons with the Portland Pirates (2008-10) and the previous three with the Rochester Americans (2005-08), the Sabres' American Hockey League affiliates. He started his career as an intern for Sabres Strength and Conditioning Coach Doug McKenney in 2004-05.

A Detroit, Michigan native, Collins played four years of collegiate hockey at SUNY Brockport, where he graduated with degrees in Exercise Physiology and Business Management. He is certified through National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Collins was born April 11, 1982. He and his wife, Amanda, are the parents of a daughter, Audrey.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are a professional ice hockey team (NHL) based in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The Blue Jackets'​ name and logos were inspired by Ohio's Civil War history and they play their home games at Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus, which opened in 2000.
