Ryan Chenault

VP, Marketing at Columbus Blue Jackets

Ryan Chenault is currently the VP of Marketing for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Prior to that, they were the Team President for the Ohio Machine, a professional Major League Lacrosse organization. Ryan was responsible for organizing and directing front office and team operations, as well as defining and exemplifying the values of the organization. Ryan also formulated and implemented a five-year strategic-plan encompassing all aspects of the business leading the organization to profitability. Ryan coordinated all revenue planning including pricing, marketing and advertising, strategic partnerships, public relations and social media efforts. Ryan also launched multiple market research studies to ensure accurate market segmentation, appropriate brand messaging and a superior gameday experience.

Before their time with the Ohio Machine, Ryan was an Instructor at Northwestern University. Ryan also served as the Assistant Athletic Director - Marketing for Northwestern University's Department of Athletics from 2007 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for developing marketing plans and strategies for all 19 varsity sports, as well as executing promotional campaigns, overseeing ticket sales and managing corporate partnerships. Under their leadership, the department saw a significant increase in revenue and fan engagement.

Ryan Chenault has a BS in Business Administration - Marketing from The Ohio State University and a BA in Theirtory from The Ohio State University. Ryan also has a MS Ed in Sports Administration from Xavier University.
