Laura Advent

Laura Advent has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Laura worked as a Staff Veterinarian at Columbus Humane from May 2018 to January 2022. Laura then served as the Director of Veterinary Services from January 2022 to January 2023 at the same organization. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Medical Officer at Columbus Humane starting from February 2023. Prior to joining Columbus Humane, Laura was a student at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine from August 2013 to May 2017. Before their education, they worked as a Research Assistant at Nationwide Children's Hospital from an unspecified date in 2009 to 2011.

Laura Advent attended The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology. Following that, they pursued their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, specializing in Veterinary Public Health, from 2011 to 2013 at the same university. Later, from 2013 to 2017, Laura completed their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at The Ohio State University.
