Alex Romstedt

Assistant Vice President Of Resident Initiatives at Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority

Alex Romstedt has extensive experience in the affordable housing industry. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Case Manager for Franklin County. In 2011, they joined Homeport as a Supportive Services Manager and later took on roles as Assistant Director of Learning & Engagement and Director of Resident Services. During their time at Homeport, Alex gained valuable leadership experience and oversaw various aspects of department operations and programming. In 2019, they joined the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority as Director of Resident Services and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President of Resident Initiatives. In their current role, Alex is responsible for developing infrastructure, programs, and outreach to benefit CMHA's residents and improve neighborhoods. Alex has successfully managed in-house and community-based programs and played a crucial role in securing a large Vista grant, which has allowed for greater direct support to residents.

Alex Romstedt completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The Ohio State University in 2005. Later, Romstedt pursued a Master of Social Work degree at the same institution and obtained it in 2011. In terms of additional certifications, Romstedt earned a Leadership in Human Services Management Certificate from The Ohio State University College of Social Work in 2018. Moreover, Romstedt became a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the State of Ohio in 2015.
