Julia Young is an experienced science educator currently serving as a Science Teacher at Columbus Preparatory Academy since August 2019, teaching various high school science courses including Physical Science, Physical Geology, Natural Hazards, and Astronomy. Prior to this, Julia worked as an Experience Programs Teacher at COSI - Center of Science and Industry, where hands-on science demonstrations were performed for diverse audiences. Additional experience includes substituting for the ESC of Central Ohio, serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, and conducting undergraduate research at The Ohio State University. Julia holds a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Earth/Space Science Education from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geological and Earth Sciences from The Ohio State University.
