Susan Walters has extensive experience in medical transcription and documentation, currently serving as a Medical Transcriptionist at Columbus Radiology since August 2017. Prior to this role, Susan worked as a Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist and Medical Language Specialist at iMedX from September 2015 to August 2017. From September 2012 to January 2015, Susan held the position of Transcription Service Manager at Nuance Communications, where management responsibilities included overseeing a team of transcriptionists and QA specialists. Additionally, experience as a Team Lead at Transcend from October 2009 to August 2012 involved monitoring workflow and training staff. Susan's career began at Transcend in September 2003 as a Medical Transcriptionist, evolving from clinic transcription to acute care. Certification as a transcriptionist (CMT) was obtained after meeting the required experience. Educational background includes attendance at the University of Michigan-Flint from 1986 to 1987.
