Patrick (Andy) Pennington has a diverse work experience that spans over 40 years. Patrick (Andy) started their career as a Commissioned Officer in the US Army in 1978 and served until 1998. During this time, they also served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army Reserve from 1990 to 1998. Following their military service, Pennington worked as a Research Nurse/Clinical Coordinator at the Department of Surgical Oncology, University of Louisville School of Medicine from 1997 to 1998. Patrick (Andy) then transitioned into the role of Nurse Practitioner at Nandalal Yepuri MD Family Practice and Pediatrics from 1999 to 2001 and again from 2002 to 2005. At the InformEd Clinic at Caesars Casino and Resort, they held the position of Clinic Manager/Nurse Practitioner from 2001 to 2002, overseeing employee health and wellness, drug testing, emergency care, and primary care for families of employees. From 2005 to 2017, Pennington served as the primary healthcare provider and an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner at Business Health Plus Inc, specializing in comprehensive care for industries, particularly transportation and production industries. Patrick (Andy) later joined Premise Health as a Nurse Practitioner from 2017 to 2018. Most recently, Pennington has been working as the Lead Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, Indiana since 2017.
Patrick (Andy) Pennington completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Texas A&M University in 1977. Patrick (Andy) later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Finally, they pursued a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner at Spalding University, completing their studies in 1999.
