Bennie du Preez has extensive experience in engineering, having worked at Columbus Stainless since November 1996, where current responsibilities include serving as Acting Mechanical Section Engineer for Central Engineering Services and managing root cause failure analysis, preventative maintenance schedules, and various administrative tasks. Previous roles include Fitter and Turner at Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation and contributing as an Industry Specialist for Engineering at SEIFSA, where Bennie developed a new syllabus for the apprentice fitter and turner trade. Educational qualifications include a Team Manager Development Training Program and N4 Mechanical Studies, along with specialized training in engineering planning and workplace improvement.
