Desiree Polk-Bland, Ph.D., serves as the Senior Vice President for Student Success at Columbus State Community College, a position held since June 2012, after progressing through various leadership roles including Vice President of Student Affairs and Executive Dean of Student Affairs. With significant experience in higher education, Polk-Bland's previous roles include Director of Advising Services at Columbus State Community College, Counselor at Tidewater Community College, and Director of Student Support and Development at Ivy Tech Community College. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University, along with multiple master's degrees in Educational Psychology and Adult Education from Indiana University, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
