Ege Berent Yuzbas

Ege Berent Yuzbas has a diverse work experience. In 2022, they began their career as a Business Development Representative at Column, where they were later promoted to Business Development Associate. In this role, they were responsible for prospecting and qualifying inbound and outbound leads, executing multi-touch sequences, and representing the company in conferences. Ege Berent achieved 150% of sales goals by meeting or exceeding KPI every month.

Prior to that, they worked at the Davis Family Library as an Interlibrary Loan Assistant from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they processed library materials such as books, microfilms, and online journals for student and faculty requests, and prepared and sorted documents for data entry.

From 2021 to 2020, they worked at the Center for Teaching, Learning and Research as an International Economics Tutor, Arabic Language Tutor, and French Language Tutor.

In 2021, they were a Research and Outreach Intern at Global Energy Monitor, where they identified organizational needs by surveying employees, designed an outreach program to collect crucial and needed information from actors in the environmental movement in the Global South, and conducted a dozen interviews with NGO representatives, activists, and lawmakers from around Africa and the Middle East.

From 2020 to 2019, they worked at Istanbul Policy Center | Istanbul Politikalar Merkezi as a Research and Administrative Assistant. In this role, they maintained and updated digital archives for research projects, studied primary sources to write a detailed cross-country analysis on Covid policy, and drafted a policy memo for publication in a yearly report addressed to Turkish policymakers.

From 2019 to 2018, they worked at Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs as a Research Assistant. In this role, they constructed and analyzed novel datasets on Middle Eastern politics and democratic backsliding, visualized important trends for colleagues and superiors, built and maintained an internal database for research purposes, and translated Arabic, French, and Turkish sources to English.

Finally, they were a Radio Show Host at WRMC 91.1 FM - Middlebury College Radio in 2019.

Ege Berent Yuzbas began their education in 2015 at UWC Robert Bosch College, where they completed their IB Diploma in 2017. Ege Berent then enrolled at Middlebury College in 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Economics in 2022.
