Shawn Cao

Shawn Cao has over 17 years of work experience in the tech industry. Shawn began their career in 2004 as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at ChinaSoft. In 2005, they moved to okshare.com as a Dev Manager, where they were responsible for architecting and designing the CRM system from frontend to backend. In 2007, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft and an Operation Engineer at Google, where they worked on data quality and search results filtering according to local policy. In 2014, they joined Facebook as a Staff Software Engineer and in 2019, they joined Pinterest in the same role. Currently, they are the Founder and Builder of Columns Ai, a one-stop-shop to streamline data storytelling. Theirremarkable user experience is loved by business people who want to get their data insights communication done in just 5 minutes.

Shawn Cao earned a Bachelor degree in Information Management System from Beijing Information Technology Institute between 2000 and 2004.
