Yvette Joseph is a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (Colville/Cayuse Tribes). Yvette is working to make a difference in Indian County as a Private Consultant. In strategic communications, Yvette has advocated statewide for dental therapists to expand oral health care, facilitated tribal consultation for the U.S. Department of Justice, and consults as a Healing Practitioner to advance racial equity. Yvette has served 8 years as the CEO of the National Indian Health Board, 12 years as a Vice-President and Project Manager for Kauffman and Associates, Inc., and 10 years as Project Manager for the Colville Tribes. From 1987 to 1995, Yvette was on the Legislative Staff to Senators Dan Inouye and Dan Evans at the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. In addition, Yvette serves on the Board of Directors for the Seva Foundation and the Executive Committee of the Washington State Democrats. Yvette retains a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Social Planning and Administration from the University of Denver.
