Dan Collins

Dan Collins is a Criminal Justice Teacher at Comal Independent School District since August 2017, responsible for teaching various subjects within the Criminal Justice field at Canyon High School. In addition, Dan serves as a part-time Facility Specialist at the Westside Community Center in New Braunfels, TX since April 2019, focusing on maintaining facility standards and serving patrons. Prior experience includes roles such as Deputy Chief of Juvenile Services at Guadalupe County Juvenile Services from March 2002 to September 2016, managing both residential and field services programs and supervising a team of managers. Dan's career also features positions as a Loss Prevention Specialist at Kohl's Department Stores, a Quality Control Analyst at Texas Youth Commission, and a Juvenile Probation Officer at Guadalupe County Juvenile Services. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a focus on Criminology from Texas A&M University, earned between 1985 and 1991.
