Joonas Heloterä

Joonas Heloterä has a diverse work experience in various industries. Joonas started their career as a Trainee at Vattenfall, where they sold electricity connections to customers and handled grid-related tasks. Joonas then worked as an Exhibition Demonstrator at Hermia Group, showcasing technical projects funded by Tekes. Joonas also worked as a Seasonal Assistant at Tampere University of Technology, verifying student union memberships.

Later, they joined Caruna as a Strategic Asset Management Trainee and Elenia as a Trainee, responsible for making maps of power and gas networks. Joonas also gained experience as a Security Sales Trainee at Verisure Oy and as a Seasonal Sales Associate at Stockmann.

Joonas worked at Despro Engineering Oy as an Electric Distribution Designer and later as a Master's Thesis Worker, focusing on project management in electric distribution network design. Joonas then moved to Comatec Group, where they served as a Chief Design Engineer, leading engineering projects in the marine industry. Joonas was also temporarily laid off due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout their career, Joonas has demonstrated skills in engineering, project management, communication, and customer service.

Joonas Heloterä has a diverse education history. Joonas earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from Aalto University, specializing in Business Administration and Management. This program lasted from 2021 to 2024.

Before that, in 2020, Joonas attended Gymnastikhøjskolen i Ollerup (Academy of Physical Education). Though they did not obtain a degree, they studied Sports and Exercise during their time there.

From 2008 to 2018, Joonas attended Tampere University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering. This program lasted for ten years.

In 2013, Joonas studied abroad in Tohoku University as an exchange student. Joonas focused on Superconductivity, Japanese language, and Japanese culture during their time there.

In 2011, Joonas attended Tampereen urheiluhierojakoulu and became a certified Clinical Massage Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist.

To complete their high school education, Joonas graduated from Kuopion lyseon lukio in 2007, having successfully passed the Matriculation examination.

In addition to their formal education, Joonas also holds several certifications. In 2015, they achieved an estimated Advanced level of Spanish fluency through Duolingo. Joonas also obtained a Clinical Massage Therapist Vocal Qualification from the Hierojan tutkintatoimikunta / Savo Consortium for Education in 2012. Furthermore, they are certified as an Open Water Diver by PADI since 2011.
