Carin Zakes

Carin Zakes has several years of work experience in various roles. In 2012, they worked as the Director of Global Content Production at Combe Incorporated. Prior to that, they were a Consultant of Video Content & Theatre Production at carinzakes.com, where they provided consulting services and produced live theatre. Carin also co-founded LawnChair Theatre in 2006, which is a summer theatre program focused on bringing outdoor performances to the parks of Westchester County. Carin has worked as a Theatre Director for multiple organizations, such as Town Players of New Canaan, where they directed the play "Rocket Girl", and Ripple Effect Artists Inc., where they directed the play "2071, the World We'll Leave our Grandchildren." Carin has also worked as a Theatre Director for organizations like DARIEN ARTS CENTER INC, Curtain Call Inc., The Wilton Playshop Inc, and RED MONKEY THEATER GROUP INC, where they directed various plays. Carin also worked as an Executive Producer on freelance basis at McGarry Bowen, handling accounts for companies like Verizon, Chase, Marriott, and Chevron.

Carin Zakes has a Master's in Education with a focus on Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instruction from the University at Buffalo. Carin also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre/Direction from the State University of New York at Oswego.
