Johanna Yang

Johanna Yang has a diverse work experience starting from 2014 to the present. Currently, they are working as a Data Scientist at Combient Mix. Previously, they worked as a PHD Candidate at Stockholm University from October 2016 to December 2021. During their time there, they developed analytic pipelines integrating various machine learning models to address genomic questions. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Uppsala University from January 2016 to September 2016, where they built statistical models to monitor and relate the competence of invasive plants with their genomic background. In 2014, Johanna worked as a Course Coordinator at NIIT Limited.

Johanna Yang's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Life Science from Shandong University, obtained between 2010 and 2014. Johanna then pursued a Master's degree in Ecology and Conservation at Uppsala University from 2014 to 2016. Following that, Johanna completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ecology and Evolution at Stockholm University from 2016 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Johanna Yang has obtained certifications in the fields of machine learning and data science. Specifically, they achieved the "AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2022 and the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate" certification from Microsoft in October 2022.
