Marko Saratlija

Marko Saratlija has a strong background in Oracle database administration. Marko began their career at mStart d.o.o. as an intern in the Unix systems department, where they gained experience in basic Linux and AIX administration and Oracle database administration. Marko then became a junior specialist at the department of Oracle technologies, where they administered numerous Oracle databases, developed and implemented restore and recovery procedures, and implemented database security hardening and auditing.

After their time at mStart d.o.o., Saratlija joined A1 Hrvatska d.o.o. as a Senior Database Administrator. In this role, they administered numerous Oracle databases running on AIX and Linux and participated in various projects, including Exadata implementation and Oracle cloud infrastructure testing. Marko was later promoted to Expert Database Administrator, continuing their work with Oracle databases and also gaining experience in Exadata and ZFS Storage Appliance administration.

Currently, Saratlija works at Combis d.o.o. as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator. Marko is responsible for the administration of numerous Oracle databases running on different platforms, including AIX, Linux, and Windows. Marko has experience in Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance implementation and administration, including tasks such as provisioning bare metal and virtual environments, database migration, and patching.

Marko Saratlija completed their education at the Faculty of Science – Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb from 2007 to 2014, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mathematics.
